Exam Pass Guarantee
We are fully committed to helping you succeed on your certification exam. That is why we offer our Exam Pass Guarantee to students who use our MVP Study Program Subscription or Lifetime MVP Study Program. If you prepare with us and do not pass your certification exam, you are eligible for both a refund of your purchase and reimbursement for the official exam retake fee. In addition, we will upgrade your subscription to a lifetime membership so that you can continue using our resources until you pass.
Exam Retake Fee Coverage
As part of this guarantee, we cover the following official exam retake fees:
- NSCA CSCS: $475 for non-members / $340 for members. Retaking one section only: $385 for non-members / $250 for members.
- NASM CPT: $199
- ACE CPT: $249
- NSCA CPT: $435 for non-members / $300 for members
- ACSM CPT: $199
- ISSA CPT: $99
- NCSF CPT: $99

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Exam Pass Guarantee, the following conditions must be met:
- You must have actively and consistently used the MVP Study Program as your primary study resource.
- Your exam confidence score within our system must be in the green zone (approximately 8,000 confidence points) prior to attempting your certification exam.
- You must notify Trainer Academy within 30 days of receiving your exam results if you do not pass.
- Purchases made before May 1, 2024, fall under our former refund policy, which excludes coverage of the additional exam cost fee.
- Exams must be taken within 30 days of your subscription end date or while your subscription is active.
Claim Process
If you are eligible and need to make a claim:
- Contact our support team within 30 days of your exam date.
- Provide official proof of your exam failure, along with evidence that your exam confidence score was in the green area (8,000 points or higher).
- Please note: refunds and exam fee reimbursement do not apply to non-proctored exams or to exams that allow only a single attempt. The guarantee applies only to your initial exam attempt, not to retakes.
Refund Details
Refunds include the full cost of your study program subscription (excluding the one-time subscription creation fee) and reimbursement of the official retake fee for your certification exam.
Limitations for Paused or Unsubscribed Accounts
If you pause or unsubscribe from your program for more than three consecutive months prior to making a claim, only your most recent subscription payment(s) will qualify for a refund. Payments made before this three-month lapse will not be refunded or included under the guarantee.
Job Assurance Guarantee
We are committed to helping our graduates build lasting careers in the fitness industry. To support this, we offer a Job Assurance Guarantee to individuals who successfully complete the IPTA CPT Certification program. This guarantee ensures that if you meet the eligibility requirements but cannot secure employment, you may qualify for a refund of the Job Guarantee fee.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Job Assurance Guarantee, you must:
- Achieve a minimum passing score of 70% or higher on the IPTA CPT Certification exam.
- Submit the official Job Assurance Guarantee Request Form within 90 days of passing the exam.
- Apply to at least three personal training positions within a 50-mile radius of your primary residence.
- Ensure your program is paid in full; no outstanding payments can remain on your account.
- Be a U.S. resident at the time of your claim.
- If using a payment plan, you must have completed at least 50% of the total payment without default.
If your claim is approved, you will receive a refund of the $99 Job Guarantee fee. The request form must be submitted to jobguarantee@traineracademy.org.
Important Notes
- All eligibility requirements must be completed within the designated time frames to qualify for the refund.
- Late or incomplete submissions of the Job Guarantee Request Form will not be accepted.
Money-Back Guarantee
We want every student to feel confident in choosing IPTA. That’s why we provide our Money-Back Guarantee for maximum peace of mind.
30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If you are not completely satisfied with the IPTA Certified Personal Trainer program, you may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase — no questions asked. Simply contact us within this period, and we will promptly process your refund.
48-Hour Policy for Third-Party Study Materials
For all third-party study materials, a separate 48-hour refund policy applies. Customers who purchase monthly subscriptions or one-time lifetime access may request a refund within 48 hours of purchase. Requests must be submitted in writing within this time frame to qualify.
