Zachary Pierce Experience
Zach found an interest in health and fitness during his 5-year stint in the Army Infantry. He found the body was capable of quite a bit of abuse, and exercise was a means to rally troops and boost morale. After the military, he pursued formal training in nutrition and immunology as a means to understand the connection between diet and immune function. He became a CPT shortly after to help bridge the gap in knowledge between formal nutrition and practical fitness. He currently works in clinical research and trains individuals and small groups at the YMCA. He prefers to focus on beginner fitness enthusiasts, traditional strength training, and endurance performance. He also works as a nutrition consultant and freelance writer and has published for Cornell and Set For Set.
